What’s different about our dietitians and nutritionists?
Navigating nutrition can be complicated. The goal for Inspire dietitians is to make sure that you love the food you are eating. Food is a great part of life, and combining science, flavour and a good dose of personal support is the combination that goes the distance. Our dietitians are continually developing their skills and knowledge base, and currently are leading the way in both sports performance dietetics and optimal well being through nutrition behaviours and food for your genetics.
What’s a dietitian?
Accredited practising dietitians are the experts in nutrition for personal health, wellbeing and managing disease. They are university qualified allied health professionals who create evidence-based programs that are tailored around the individual to make sure you can stick to the plan!
How can a dietitian help you?
Dietitians help people understand the art and science of human nutrition. Dietitians use the latest scientific evidence to help people make dietary choices to improve their wellbeing, enhance their sports or corporate performance and prevent, manage and reverse disease.
An Inspire dietitian can aid in the transition to a healthier lifestyle by helping you develop food patterns that are tailored to your health history, habits, time constraints, and your genetics. They use practical strategies such as goal setting, monitoring, problem solving, relapse prevention, and more.
For those not in optimal health, some positive effects of seeing an Inspire dietitian can include higher energy levels, sustained weight loss, improved control of medical conditions (e.g. diabetes, high cholesterol etc.), a reduction in the pain, and management of symptoms such as indigestion, bloating, dizziness, hot flushes, straining, fluid retention, and arthritis.
For people already in good health, a tailored plan can help enhance your sports performance, improve brain function, increase daily focus and prepare for and manage pregnancy.

What’s a physiotherapist?
Physiotherapy is a tertiary-qualified profession that aims to improve a person’s ability to move and function. Inspire physiotherapists are experts in anatomy and physiology who work in partnership with clients to assess a variety of health conditions, and apply evidence-based treatments to achieve optimal results.
How can a physiotherapist help me?
The primary role of a physiotherapist is to assess a patient’s condition and to find the underlying cause of dysfunction – whether it is in the muscles, joints or nerves. Our ultimate aim is to ensure your body functions and moves in an optimal, pain free and effective way.
Inspire physiotherapists use a variety of techniques to ensure ideal functioning through body movement. These include joint mobilisation and manipulation, muscle release/massage, muscle retraining, exercise programs, dry needling, strapping and assistance with using an assortment of mobility aids or braces.
What’s different about our physiotherapists?
Our Inspire physiotherapists’ predominately work with musculoskeletal injuries, but have training and practical experience to be able to manage patients with neurological or cardio-respiratory conditions and are able to refer on if further specialty care is required.
We work as part of an Allied Health team that encompasses a holistic approach, involving Dietitians, Exercise Physiologists and Massage Therapists in treatment plans. Through communication within the team about individual client goals and progress, Inspire physiotherapists are able to achieve quality results fast.
Working as part of the Allied Health team positions our Inspire Physiotherapists in the perfect place to thoroughly rehabilitate every level of athlete back to their chosen sport. As well as ensuring your body is moving in an optimal, pain free and effective way, we are able to address what went amiss from a biomechanical perspective. This enables clients to make their own decisions about further injury prevention pathways, after being empowered through education about their individual situation and management.
Are you stiff and sore? Do you find that you are limited through your movements? Do you have aches and pains? If you answered yes to any of these questions then a remedial massage may just be the trick to get you feeling well again.

What’s a massage therapist?
A massage therapist is an expert in soft tissue manipulation that relieves tension, reduces pain, restores range of movement and promotes good condition. This ultimately results in restoring function, and improving performance.
How can a massage therapist help me?
When muscles and tendons become damaged or impaired, knotted and tense or immobile, remedial massage provides a healing treatment. Contrary to popular belief, remedial massage can be gentle or strong, shallow or deep.
Key benefits of remedial massage include:
- the stimulation to the blood supply allowing toxins in the muscles to be removed;
- the calming of the peripheral nervous system to ease pain and discomfort;
- and the toning and relaxing of muscles to improve joint mobility.
An improvement to the health of the cells, the repairing of tissues, and the easing of stiffness and tension can also be experienced through therapeutic relaxation.
What’s different about our massage therapists?
Our Inspire massage therapists work in conjunction with the team to optimise training sessions and facilitate athletic function. If there is a sporting activity or a training schedule being followed, regular treatments can enhance performance. Similarly our everyday working lives and lifestyles create the same set of problems and these, in the same way, can also be treated successfully.
A sports massage is ideal to treat injuries and as well as a preventative treatment dealing with the health of muscle and connective tissue, range of movement, tone, symmetry, balance of muscle and quality of posture.
